Judeo-Christian nation?

I just received the attached video sent to me via email. It was so interesting that I wanted to share it with all my bloggy-peeps. I have NO idea who this man is, but what he had to say, I give him Applause!! Two Thumbs Up!! and an "It's About DANG Time!"

In the video, Congressman Randy Forbes asks "Did America ever consider itself a Judeo-Christian nation?" and "If America was once a Judeo-Christian nation, when did it cease to be?" on the floor of the US House. It was nice to see someone standing up for this country and Christians... because Christianity IS what this country was founded on and somehow, it HAS ceased to be. And we need to get it back!!

Birth of a New Blog

HOWDY BLOG WORLD.... How was your Thanksgiving? I hope it was FANTASTIC and that you all got to spend some great time with family & friends!

I have been MIA lately & I'm sorry, but it's a good thing. I have been CRAZY Busy working my Scentsy business. It has been keeping me busy, because it is an amazing product that is literally selling out off our shelves. We have sold out of 3 of the holiday warmers within the first two weeks of November. Scentsy Wickless Candles are just THAT awesome of a product that we can't keep 'em in stock! Which is a GREAT problem to have.

And with that, I decided to start a new blog for myself as a Scentsy Consultant. I thought about doing it here & actually tried it for a while, but it began to get a little top heavy with family & then switch again and be top heavy with only Scentsy stuff. Song on Repeat - My Happy Place

I have to share a song with you.... I have had it on "Repeat" for the last hour. Just playing over and over and over again.

It was played on "One Tree Hill" tonight. Yes, I watch it. I am addicted to the darn show and I haven't missed a single episode since it started 7 seasons ago. Okay... now that 'That' is out of the way! :D
The song was during the last 5 minutes of tonights episode. I came to the computer, downloaded it immediately from iTunes and have had it playing ever since. Have you ever found one of those songs that you just keep on Repeat, so that you can stay in that bubble of feelings?? Well, I am there! It's just soothing and melodic and it keeps me in a bubble and it's nice!

Twas the Morning before Scentsy

It felt like Christmas morning... I was waiting with childlike anticipation all day for my "special package" to arrive from Scentsy. No reindeer, no sleigh, no big guy in a red suit, just a guy in some brown shorts in a UPS truck. For the past week I had been tracking it online and near giddyness for it's arrival. I could hardly wait for it to get here. All day I had kept running to the door & looking out each time I heard a car slow down outside our house. I thought he'd never get here...

When out on the lawn there arose such a clatter, he jumped out of the truck without the use of a ladder. Then, what to my wondering eyes should appear, but a big Scentsy box to bring me good cheer.


Away to my livingroom I flew like a flash,
I tore open the box to view my new stash.

Now Dasher! now Dancer! Now Comet and... WAIT A MINUTE, WRONG POEM!

Now catalogs! Now paperwork! Now orderforms and handbook,
On roomspray, on car candle, on scent testers, come here take a look.



My eyes, how they twinkled! My face oh how giddy.
My cheeks were like roses! My Scentsy warmer oh so pretty!


I spoke not a word, but went straight to unpacking
and filled with such joy, I just started laughing.
And putting the testers up to my nose,
I smelled 80 scents and didn't oppose.

I sprang to my feet and plugged in the Warmer,

Re-Birth of a SCENTsational Blog

As you know, the economy is lower than low and my hubby and I have been trying to find ways to keep our heads above water. He being a teacher and I being a SAHM to raise our 2 year old son, the funds have been more than tight & somewhat limited lately. Hubby said we needed to find another avenue for money to come in or he was going to have to get a 2nd job. We discussed me going back to work full time, but realized that the price of daycare & gas would surpass the money that I would be bringing home. So that door was quickly shut, which was fine with me, However we needed another solution.

I started looking around at different WAH Businesses and found that start up was too high, the product was not worth the money or there were too many people in my area doing the same thing.
And THEN, one hot sunny day in June, while walking through a big 'buy all store' parking lot, I see a huge sticker on a car window that catches my eye. It says, "WICKLESS CANDLES, Scentsy" I thought, "What the heck are Wickless Candles? and What the heck is Scentsy?" and right then the woman stepped out of her car...so, I took the opportunity and I asked her!

What did I find out?? An opportunity that is actually working to bring in the extra income we need. Not to mention some FANTASTIC product that I have fallen in love with that I didn't even know existed until I asked a stranger in a parking lot, "What the heck are Wickless Candles?"

NO DAY TWO on Potty Training!

I know that the post below was "POTTY TRAINING-DAY ONE" ... WELL... Potty training was ONLY that one day. Here a month has passed and we haven't gotten any further than day one.

The day started off good, but quickly turned and headed down hill. He was excited about the new Cars themed potty seat and the Cars themed stickers. However it was more curiosity than excitement, because once I sat him up on that potty seat, horror, confusion and fear filled his face. The curiosity was OVER!! And he had made up his mind, he didn't like it. Every 30 minutes, I would say "Okay, it's time to go to the potty, lets go!!" and i would be all excited. He'd follow me to the bathroom excited and he seemed okay with it. But once he got near the toilet, he was doing all he could to get out of that bathroom. By the end of the day, i was having to DRAG him into the bathroom. My guess is, if you have to drag them and they wont walk into the room on there own, THEY AREN'T READY FOR POTTY TRAINING!

SO, we put the potty seat away and we are waiting for more potty readiness signs. As of yet, i have received NONE. The day will come, i know it will, but can it hurry up PLEASE?! :)

Potty Training Begins Today! Ehh!

DAY ONE of Potty Training....

It isn't going very well. In fact, the last trip to the potty, he REFUSED to go in to the bathroom. I just about had to DRAG him in. We are sitting on the potty seat with "Big Boy Underpants" on, (aka: Pull-Ups) and he DOES NOT, I repeat, DOES NOT like sitting on the Potty seat. He whines and wants to get down. The plus side, he does enjoy getting the Car sticker and putting it up on the chart though.

OH WHAT DO I DO?? Do i keep at it tomorrow? OR Does this mean he isn't ready yet?
We started this because he was showing signs of readyness and now I am wondering if it is too soon. Do I keep on today and then go back to diapers tomorrow and wait a week and try again?? OR Is this a normal reaction and I just need to keep on keeping on with this??

MOMMIES HELP ME!!! I need Wisdom bestowed upon me here, cause I have NO IDEA what to do! I am getting frustrated and it's ONLY DAY ONE!! Uh-oh!!

I just saw the Neatest and most Fun looking Craft Project on a talk show this morning. I have never seen or heard of these before today, but I sooo want to get one now! They look like so much fun.
It is called, a "Munny" They are little soft vinyl toys, with movable arms & head, that you can draw on, paint on, or scribble on to create a custom design and your very own artistic Munny. You can even dress them up! They come in 3 colors: White, Blue and Pink and are 4 inches tall.

There are so many people who are switching from Coffee to Hot Tea these days. And if you are new to the world of hot tea, I will be giving you a a list of a few brands & flavors that are really yummy & that you should try out.

I like "flavor" in my tea, meaning, I don't want my hot tea to just taste like some tea leaves were steeped in hot water. I want something to taste, flavor, Like strawberry's or mint! So if you're looking for some flavored tea's, you are at the right place.

Two GREAT brands of tea is Bigelow brand and Celestial Seasonings brand. They make some of the best hot tea on the market and you can find both of them at your local grocery store.
Another plus, they are affordable, which we all need right now.

This tea has a spice taste that reminds me of something you'd find in India or Europe. Very unique taste.

You add a little sugar & a little milk and oh, you have reached heaven on earth! Once the hot water is poured on top of the bags, this amazing smell goes wafting through the house. It's smells like you're baking something. Now imagine that in your mouth. Ahhh!!!

Now onto the Celestial Seasonings brand of hot tea. Personally, i think their best teas are the Herbal teas. I have yet to find a brand of Herbal tea as good as the ones from them. They have a lot of flavor and don't have the strong black tea taste that the Bigelow brand has.

Rantings of an App's user!

So I have decided that all Applications online, whether it be for Twitter, Facebook, or Myspace should come with an Instruction/Users Manual. Just a little button on the site that explains how to use the App and what all the buttons and terminology means for that App and site.

For example, for the last half hour, I have been trying to figure out this thing called "API" on TweetDeck. (TweetDeck is an App on Twitter) Apparently from what I can gather, you only have a certain amout of "API" you can use before you run out. And if you run out, I have heard you are stalled on receiving or sending out updates on your TweetDeck. "Why?" -I have no idea. "What is API?" -I have no idea. "How do you Use the API up?" -I have no idea. And, "How can you restore the API?" -I don't know that either.
And I have yet to find someone who can give me the answer to these questions. HENCE, the reason WHY these App's should come with an instruction manual. JUST SAYIN'!
