Laughing In My Tent ~ In His DUE Time!

If you're still hanging on with me while I took a little sabbatical from blogging, which I hope you did, I want to say Thank You... but I also want to tell you... I think you'll be interested in reading today's post. :)  

Back in April 2012, if you remember, I stepped out of pain for a moment and wrote a little poem titled "Yearning ~ Will Turn to Rejoicing". If you aren't familiar with it you can read it here. Where I was dealing with not being in control of having a baby and I was waiting on the Lord to tell my body when it was His perfect timing.

Then almost a year later and the last time I blogged, was February of this year (2013). I participated in a meme called WFW or Word-Filled Wednesday, and I had chosen my verse to be Psalm 65:11 (here) taken from a brief study that Beth Moore had done with us Siesta's over a video chat. We (my family) chose this verse Psalm 65:11 to be our verse for the new year and we were claiming & standing on the Lord's promise to us that 2013 was going to be a "Good Year" for our family.  We didn't have a clue, and still don't fully know, what the Lord has in store for us for 2013... However, HIS Goodness began to be revealed to us shortly after I had written that last post.  

A few months went by and in April we found out that I was pregnant.  After a year of trying, praying, crying and giving up hope it would never happen, and then receiving two prophecies that it would happen & that I would soon laugh in my tent as Sarah did when God told Abraham of blessing Sarah with a baby boy in Gen 17:16 & 18.... the Lord blessed us with a baby!  We kept it quiet for a little over a month until we knew for sure that everything was looking good.  I was beside myself excited and just about near busted at the seams trying to keep it quiet for that long, but once we got the okay that everything was good, I told everyone I could!

I am currently 25 weeks along, with a growing bouncing (& kicking) baby boy!  We have already chosen a name, which will not be revealed here on this public forum, but it is another strong biblical name, with a strong biblical meaning! In the meantime, he will be referred to by Baby Belly Boy.  (name given to him lovingly by his auntie pink!)

We couldn't be MORE Excited!  Lil Man can't wait to have Baby Belly Boy here to play with, although we are having to try to explain to him that BBB won't be able to "play" for quite sometime!  He is excited all the same & can't wait to start showing him how to do things. He has an ongoing verbal list daily of things he comes up with to teach him & show him how to do.  It makes me smile so big to see that excitement in Lil Man over about to get a yittle brudder!

The Lord is Good and He wants & has good things for us. Oh how He loves us so much!

Word-Filled Wednesday - Gonna Be A Good Year!

I can not begin to tell you how Excited I am to be a part of  'Word-Filled Wednesday's again! It has been a really long time. Years, in fact.  What better way to jump start WFW than with a verse that my family and I are learning to memorize & that we are holding onto for the new year of 2013.

Beth Moore did a quick lesson on this verse last month and she broke down the meaning of this verse.... 
"Crown" means to Surround or Encircle... The Lord surrounds or encircles the year with his bounty. 

"Bounty" means Good or Goodness... The Lord surrounds or encircles the year with Good,
"Good" means that which is abundant and plentiful....  which brings the verse full circle.


The verse goes on to say, - and your carts overflow with abundance.  Overflow... carts SO full that they overflow with abundance.  My family & I could use an overflow of abundance!!
 
What does this say to me?

   Our God Will Be Good to Us This Year in 2013!! 

What are we praying for 2013? 

That Our God Will Be Good to Us This Year!!

We need not fear the future, because our God is a Good God and is going to be Good to Us!
How do I know this?... Because the Lord says so in His Word!!   

I am ready for us to move into the place of fruitfulness.  Not just for us, but for the Kingdom. The Lord has something GREAT for us and I can't wait to see what He has for us. 

When life give you Cedar... take some meds and put on Phineas & Ferb!

Oh My Stars, the last two days have been awful.  AWFUL!!  Can I just say, I HATE,… yes I said HATE,… Mountain Cedar!  What is Mountain Cedar, you ask?  It’s the most evil tree that was ever created.  It releases pollen around this time every year. It surrounds this entire area where I live.  And apparently…

I AM.  HIGHLY.  ALLERGIC!!! 

I woke up Thursday sneezing & having normal allergy symptoms that comes with this Texas cold, now it’s warm, now it’s cold, back and forth weather we have. By the end of the night, my right sinus cavity started to stop up and my right eye started to swell.  I took allergy meds and went to bed thinking it’d clear up the next day.  Boy was I WRONG!!!!!    

 I woke up Friday and BAM, Mr. Mountain Cedar took out his yearly attack with a vengeance.  His pollen release was at it’s RECORD HIGH!  Yep, you heard me right, RECORD HIGH!  As in 3000 high.  (I don’t really know what that means, but it’s a really high number & not a good thing.)

Like I said, his yearly attack on me was with a vengeance and the worst I’ve ever had.  

Mr. Mountain Cedar caused my eyes to itch so bad I nearly scratched them out, he caused my right eye to swell shut and run tears of acid…  All the while causing me to sneeze my head off to no avail, because he had stopped up all of my sinus cavities with what felt like cement!!!   In other words, I was miserable, couldn’t breathe and I had used up 2 large boxes of Puffs tissues w/ lotion in a 24 hour period, along with ½ bottle of Mentholatum.  

Sooo while I was in bed the last two days, blowing my nose, slathering on Mentholatum, sneezing, blowing, slathering, rinse lather repeating ALL Day Long… Lil Man and I decided to put on some “Phineas & Ferb” on Netflix.  

Let me tell you, having my Lil Man by my side watching his favorite show, while listening to him say over and over again, “Momma, I’m gonna take care of you.” – has to be THE BEST MEDICINE EVER!!!! I love that little dude!

 Today is a little better!  I'm finally out of bed, but I still can't breathe, and my right eye is not swollen shut anymore though it is a little puffy. I am glad to say, my sinus cavity feel more like a kaleche road & not a cement side walk anymore. At least I know I'm going to survive. Especially with my Lil Man and Phineas & Ferb by my side!
