Celebrity Look Alikes

Okay so I couldn't resist this. Amydeanne @the160acrewoods posted her celebrity look alikes a little earlier and i thought it looked like fun. So here are mine!

I have NO idea who a few of these ladies are, and I don't really agree with who they picked for me, but it was still fun to do. Do YOU think I look like most of the ladies on here? Let me know who you think i look most like.

Now THIS one is the coolest yet. Personally, I think I look THE MOST like Sophia Bush. The Morph shows our similarities so much more. Whatcha think?

Stuff 2yr old dreams are made of...

Today was a 2 year old's DREAM day... Papa came to town to visit!!
And what does that mean when Papa comes down? It means being taken out to lunch, seeing "Blue" his dog and doing FUN OUTDOORSY Things!
And my son LOVES being outside. Once he's out, the only way to get him back in, is to say it's Bath~time. He loves the water as much as he loves outside.

So first on the list of day with Papa, was lunch.
Did you know that THIS looks like "Bob the Tomato", from the Veggie Tales, to a 2 year old?

From the time we pulled into the parking lot to the time we walked in the doors, he kept saying, "Momma Bob Tomato"~ as he stretched his neck up as high as he could to get a better look at it on top of the restaurant entry way. It was so cute!

After lunch, was play time with Papa's dog, Blue. That boy loved throwing the ball and seeing Blue chase after it. And then Little Man would end up chasing right after Blue. That took up a good hour of time. That boy can P-L-A-Y!

Side note: Blue is a blue healer/cow dog. Just in case you were curious about the name. :D

Then came the REALLY FUN STUFF. The stuff 2yr old dreams are made of....
Going to the lake and playing in the water. Ice cold water, but water non-the-less.

The wind was blowing and the waves were rolling in on the beach area. Little Man has never seen waves before, so he let out a squeal of delight and we took off towards the shore. We only waded to our feet, but that was enough to completely cover his feet & his ankles and it gave him full on access to the water coming in. Let me just say, Whooo it was COLD!! It was only 77 degrees here today and that water was chilly, but Little Man didn't care one bit. He played with his water toy in that water for a good 20 minutes or more. And ended up falling into the water twice. Clothes soaked & diaper full of lake water.

We had the beach all to ourselves. It was just Papa, Little Man, Me and Blue. Oh and a few ducks that would swim up every now & then to check us out. It was so nice and the waves (though lake waves) still crashed up onto the sand and it sounded like we were at the ocean. If you closed your eyes, you wouldn't have ever known you were on the shore of a lake. AWWW!

Finally, it was time to go. Little Man did very well leaving the water. I was surprised. I told him to tell the water bye-bye and the ducks bye-bye, because it was time to go. He stood up, waved out towards the lake and said, "Bye-bye wawah, Bye-bye quack-quack" and off we went back to the car and then back to the house.

Little Man had soo much fun with Papa (my dad by the way) and Blue today! :D
It was a GREAT day! One that you wish you could capture in a jar, so you could do it all over again later.

WFW - He Delights In Us!

I was introduced to this verse last week when I was doing my "Esther" bible study by Beth Moore. What a Praise the Lord moment.... God delivers us to "a spacious place" because He delights in us. Awwww, that just makes my heart warm & I know that the Lord loves me! EVEN ME!!

Ultimate Blog Party - Here I Come!!

Ultimate Blog Party 2009

Hello Ultimate-blog-party peeps!!
I am new to the UBParty and I wanted to join you ladies, even if late, to introduce myself and just say "HOWDY" from Texas and to JOIN THIS AWESOME PARTY!!! I've heard you all have a FANTASTIC time during the UBParty that 5 minutes for mom hosts every Spring.

My name is Groovewoman, at least in bloggy-ville & the web it is. I am a stay-at-home-(first time) Mom to the most precious 2 year old boy you'll ever meet. He is such a smart little guy and I am just stinkin' amazed by him everyday. I absolutely love being a mom. Who would've thought? I am in my early 30's. I LOVE the Lord. I am married. I've been married for 10 years now. I can't believe it's been 10 years already. My husband is a Theatre Teacher and he LOVES his job.

In fact, it's because of theatre that he and I met. We were both in a musical called, "The Promise" in Glen Rose, TX. And we met during rehearsals. Being in the same scenes together, we started talking and the rest, as they say, is history. We dated for a year and got married 6 months after that. But only once the performing season for the show was over of course! :D We've been involved with that show ever since, in some form or fashion for the last 13 years. We took the show to Seoul, South Korea in 2004 and we've both been on stage the last two years. I was a Vocal Performance major in College, though I never got to finish my degree because i relocated for the show and then I met hubby and had to get a real job. I hope to one day go back and finish and get a degree.

I LOVE to Sing and I love Acting & performing, it's in my blood. I use it for the Lord as much as I can. It's a gift He has equipped me with and I am so blessed when I get the opportunity to use it to bring Him glory and praise!

So there you go... that is enough for now... I could go on, but this is suppose to be an introduction, not a book. So I will leave you wondering so you'll come back and visit me again. I hope you enjoyed your time here in my little Groovy world and that you'll stop by again. I LOVE making new friends. OH-OH and I have PINK hair and I absolutely LOVE IT!

There are so many cool prizes to be won at this year’s Ultimate Blog Party, but my top three picks would be:

And if my top three picks are already chosen, I’d love any of the following (in order of preference):

2, 5, 19, 21, 22, 15, 8, 20, or anything else related to a mother with a 2 year old boy!

Thanks for stopping by my party!

So Say We ALL!

The end of a SciFi era has come & gone tonight. **sniff, sniff** It was the Final Episode of "Battlestar Galactica."

We've watched this show from the very beginning and we watched it end tonight. The show, as we say in the theatre world, has been put to bed. The stage is dark and we had to say tearful Goodbye's to so many memorable characters. The last 2 hours were THE BEST writing to date for this show. Props to all of the writers & co-writers. It was genius. I am still trying to figure out where everyone ended up on earth. (if you didnt see it, you wouldn't understand)

So, if any of you bloggy-peeps watched the Final Episode of "Battlestar Galactica" with us tonight, please feel free to chime in and we'll chat about the show.

So here is my bloggy goodbye to the cast...

Goodbye - Admiral Adama, Pres. Roslin, Starbuck, Apollo, Saul Tigh, Sam Anders, Six, Dr Gaius Baltar, Sharon, Helo, Galen, Boomer & Hera. You will be missed and will be remembered always.... So Say We ALL, So Say We ALL, So Say We ALL!

The World 'o Theatre

PRAISE THE LORD.... UIL One Act Play is O-V-E-R!!!

I don't know how in the world I get wrangled into these things, but the last two months of our lives have been consumed with UIL OAP stuff. Preparing & buying costumes, buying makeup, designing the makeup, making props, after school and Saturday rehearsals...AND I'm am just the WIFE of the theatre teacher. I can't imagine what it would be like if i were actually the teacher. Sheesh!!!

However all of our work Paid Off, because our kiddos (our school) took home FIRST PLACE!!!
And that is on top of the awards for Honorable Mention All Star Cast and All Star Cast. We rocked at UIL this year and it's because the kids were AMAZING!!! I am so proud of all of them.

So there you go bloggy-world, that's why I've been MIA for the last month or so. It feels good to be back amongst all of my bloggy friends. I can't wait to hear from you all.
I shall chat with you again soon.
