Well, I finally got off of my butt and I joined Weight Watchers today... again... for the 3rd/4th time. (I've lost count...then again it's been 3 years) I am praying that this time I will stick with it and lose the weight that I need to lose. Once I had Japheth, the baby fat decided to hang on for dear life and forced me to cross over the threshold of weight (#) that I told myself I would never allow myself to reach let alone actually cross over and it's time to cross back over, close that door and never return! (as Amens echo from the readers)

I'm not looking to be super skinny by any means. My body isn't built for super skinny. Its time for me to get down to a more healthy weight. I realize that I am not getting any younger and with age comes things that my body needs to be in a healthy place so that I can avoid those age related health issues. It doesn't hurt to rebuke those age related health issues either... and I rebuke them, they will not overtake my body, in the Name of Jesus!

SOOOO, I will start on the WW plan tomorrow & I am splurging today, cause I can't have Mint Mocha Frappachinos after today, at least not without using a TON of points. I still haven't decided which plan to do. If you aren't familiar with WW's, they offer two plans now. Flex plan where you count points on everything you eat and now they have the Core Plan which is a list of healthy, wholesome foods that you can eat as much as you like out of. However, you have to eat only out of this list of food. But the list is big... except it doesn't have bread on it and I am a friend, okay LOVER of bread and I am not sure if going bread-less is the best plan for me. So we shall see. I may try the Core plan for a week and see how I manage it and decide if i want to stick to that one or do the Flex plan which I am familiar with. I will let you know.

Okay, that is all for today.... wish me luck.... wait, take that back.... PRAY FOR ME INSTEAD, cause I need all the support and encouragement to stay on this journey until it is a habit - lifestyle!

Mother's Day Activities

We were soooo busy this past week ..... First, yesterday was Mother's Day! It was a GREAT mother's day. Hubby surprised me with a "Cricut Expression". For those of you who don't know what a Cricut is, it is a cutting machine for Scrapbooking.

I have been wanting one for a while now and he surprised me with one! WOOOHOO!!! Now I can cut & scrapbook till my little heart is content, now if I can only create more time in a day to do that! Well if I miraculously do, at least I now have to tools! :D I also got to have Japanese Food for Mother's Day lunch (thank you Regina) which is MY ALL TIME FAVORITE Food in the world! Yummmmmmmm!!!

Saturday we went to Scarborough Faire, it is a Renaissance Festival in Waxahachie.

If you've never been, you MUST go! It takes you back in time to the Renaissance time with fabulous costumes, castles, handcrafted period booths, shows of all kinds, swords, period music, food, King & Queen, and of course a Joust competition. Needless to say we had an absolute BLAST and even Japheth loved seeing all the action.

Thursday was the Talent show at hubby's school... Grease My Hairspray. It was 50's-60's themed, with large 8 feet hairspray cans, 4 foot records as the stage decoration. Each act was suppose to be period themed, but the kiddos didn't do ANYTHING 50's-60's themed in the performances...Sooo that didn't really work so well, but is was a great idea. And the acts that were performed were GREAT! Especially Rihanna's song... FABULOUS... that girl can sing! Actually she brought me to tears. It's hard to do that!

Tuesday was student days at
Scarborough Faire and hubby took the Theatre 2 class and they competed in the Shakespeare Drama Competition on the Crown Stage, they did a scene from Julius Caesar and they received 2nd place!

WOOHOO!! They got a cool trophy! They did an awesome job!!

So needless to say it was a CRAZY BUSY WEEK - but it was a FUN REWARDING WEEK! Ahhhhh....
And next in our adventure we call life is the end of school for hubby, summertime and The Promise. It is approaching quickly.... and We can't wait!
