Needing a Breather.....

Oh my stars, it has been a busy weekend!! Wow I am glad it's Monday, cause I need to take a breather...Phew! Not only did we have the threat of Hurricane Ike all weekend long, which by the way - where we were in Texas we only got a little wind & some much needed rain. Thankfully we didn't get the bad part of Ike. Well, Friday night we had "The Promise", the musical my husband and I are in. The show went well, but we didn't have a very large crowd. :( People stayed home because of Ike making it's way to Texas.

Here are a few pics from the show Friday night....

My husband as the Blindman

Me as Jairus' Wife

Me & Esther singing Via Dolorosa.

Due to Ike finally making it's way up towards Glen Rose and dumping non-stop rain, the show was canceled Saturday night. It was a nice night off. We had friends over and had really a lot of fun. The men played the Xbox and us ladies made jewelry. My friend Erin is teaching me jewelry making! It is a TON of fun and I have a lot of idea up in this little head of mine. Now if I can only get people to purchase the things I make we will be doing GREAT! :D

Sunday morning we had a Contact Team performance. What is a Contact Team performance you ask? Well I'll tell you... it is a small group of about 15 of us from "The Promise" who go to different churches in the DFW area & we sing a few of the songs from the show in costume. Basically we are giving people a taste of the show in hopes that they come out to see us. I love the Contact Team performances, because it is so much more intimate and you can interact with the people. Not to mention you get to meet so many sweet people & you get to talk to those that were just ministered to! Awww it's great!!

Here are a few pics from the Contact Team performance on Sunday....

It was a GREAT Sunday.... I'll be back later to tell you what I did Sunday night! :D
Can you say "Mamma Mia!" Live? Until then my friends!

Thanks Groovewoman!!! I so enjoyed
sharing all your wonderful photos of your church production! It's too bad that IKE stole the show! but at least you were safe! This so reminds me of my home church in MN...but we do it at Eastertime
..."Lifegiver". I've never seen "The Promise"! Via Dolorosa is such a beautiful, powerful song! Praise God for both of you partaking in this theatrical/musical of Jesus Christ so more may come to know Him! Breathe deep and exhale...
it's only the beginning of much more PROMISES in your futures!
